How to run Claude Code on Piramyd (flat rate, no per-token billing)
By Mhiro Ash — founder, Piramyd Protocol Inc.
Hook
Claude Code is excellent. Anthropic's direct API billing is not — especially once you start burning tokens on long agent loops, refactors, and multi-file sessions.
I'm Mhiro Ash, founder of Piramyd Protocol Inc. This post is a straight setup guide: how to point Claude Code at Piramyd with npx piramyd, keep your existing CLAUDE.md / hooks / memory, and pay a flat monthly rate instead of per-token invoices.
No invented savings claims. No landing-page theater. Just the path that works.
What you get
On Piramyd you run Claude Code the same way you already do — with a different base URL and a flat plan.
| Plan | Price | Models | RPM |
|---|---|---|---|
| Solo | $30/mo | Full catalog | 10 RPM |
| Growth | $50/mo | Full catalog | 25 RPM |
| Scale | $90/mo | Full catalog | 50 RPM |
All plans: unlimited tokens, no per-token billing.
Trial: 3 days, card required, cancel before day 4 if you don't want to continue.
claude-piramydsources~/.claude-piramyd/.env(mode0600)- sets
ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL→https://api.piramyd.cloud/v1 execsclaude- Your CLAUDE.md, hooks, and memory stay intact
Onboarding entrypoint: npx piramyd.
Prereqs
- Node.js with npx available (current LTS is fine).
- Claude Code CLI already installed and working (the launcher
execsclaude). - A card for the 3-day trial at piramyd.cloud if you want live API access.
- Comfort editing env files under
~/.claude-piramyd/(permissions should stay0600).
Setup
1. Onboard
$ npx piramydFollow the prompts. This wires you to Piramyd and sets up the local env the launcher will source.
2. Confirm the env file
~/.claude-piramyd/.envPermissions should be 0600 (owner read/write only).
3. Launch through Piramyd
$ claude-piramydThe launcher sources the env, sets ANTHROPIC_BASE_URL to https://api.piramyd.cloud/v1, and execs claude. You're not migrating a project — you're swapping the API endpoint and billing model.
4. Pick a plan
- Solo — $30/mo, full catalog, 10 RPM
- Growth — $50/mo, full catalog, 25 RPM
- Scale — $90/mo, full catalog, 50 RPM
Verify
- Confirm the process talks to
api.piramyd.cloud. - Claude still feels like Claude — same CLI, project files, hooks.
- RPM: Solo 10 / Growth 25 / Scale 50.
ls -l ~/.claude-piramyd/.envshows0600.
Prove economics (optional)
For a local look at what Claude Code has been costing on Anthropic direct, use agent-receipts:
$ npx agent-receiptsIt reads local ~/.claude/projects history. Nothing is uploaded.
One documented historical scan (not a universal claim): that local scan estimated $167.43 on Anthropic direct vs $30 Solo on Piramyd — about 5.6×. One machine, one history — not a guarantee for every workflow.
